Cable x Deadpool
Set in the Age of Apocalypse that Wade visits while looking for Nate. This concerns the Wade of that universe, how he was treated by the Horseman of War.
What if Apocalypse had won?
Bored by the mindless squabbles and weak fighting that the other three horsemen constantly enacted, Cable, Horseman of War, ignored them and walked to his room. He had other, more pleasing company he could indulge in.
The other horsemen made remarks of course, as could be expected. But Apocalypse had given his almighty permission, so Cable was satisfied.
His captive looked up with a wary expression when he closed the door. A few strides and Nate was kneeling besides his pet. “The X-Men fell today. That was your last hope, wasn’t it? That they would win, take pity on you and release you back into the wild?”
“Yep, I dreamt of frolicking with gazelles,” Wade quipped with a sigh.
Cable grabbed Wade’s jaw and kissed him roughly, possessively. He pulled away to stare into Wade’s eyes. “You think for a moment I would let them get you? The idea that they might try was the very thing that motivated me to grind Charles Xavier’s skull beneath my boot.”
Wade looked relieved. “Oh, his skull. I was worried for a second there that you’d been grinding with Xavier.”
Cable smirked. “If I thought for one second that your nonchalance was genuine, I would take off these binds,” he fingered the adamantium manacles. “You could be the blood-soaked creature of war we both know you to be. You could fight beside me, glory in my battles.” The gleam of lust and insanity in Cable’s eyes faded and he sighed heavily. “But I feel your rage. Your resentment. And until I can bend that into unswerving loyalty, I cannot free you. I can only try and tame you.”
He waved a hand slightly and the manacles shifted, separated so that Wade’s legs were spread. Wade struggled unintentionally, belatedly remembering that it was the struggle, the conflict, that aroused Cable so much. Nate lived for a fight now, whatever context it was in.
Wade didn’t actually mind being used in kinky sexual perversions. It was the highlight of his day. It was the temptation that bothered him. The fact that this was a taming process, designed to make him a devoted psychopath. The way it was almost succeeding.
But he would escape. He didn’t need the X-Men. He would get out of this and get revenge upon Cable, Horseman of Apocalypse.
Revenge for destroying Nate, the man he’d loved.
Sexy and somewhat disturbing, this was a really cool idea for a drabble. Poor Wade.
Thanks. Sexy and somewhat disturbing are my middle names. Well, maybe not sexy.
Sarky Somewhat Disturbing Woman. It fits! ;)
Hmm, I bet that penname isn't taken...
Oh wow. Me likey.
It's so simple, yet I can really sense the hopelessness of the situation.
That's hot. And twisted. And good. ^^

re: What if Apocalypse had won
This is hot, and deep, the whole Cable being evil killed the Nate that Wade had loved bit.
I do love how good Steve and Cable is, but I do love a sexy AU where they are not, and Tony and Deadpool ended up being their pets. Like, even when they are evil, they don't let go of their S.O.

Hottest, yay for psychic powers.

Re: What if Apocalypse had won
Thank you :) The scenario of 'good guy gone bad, keeps shocked lover as pet' really interests me too.

Re: What if Apocalypse had won
I've been writing Steve keeps Tony as a pet AUs...which takes a lot of fiddling Steve has a canonly hands-off approach to Tony, as evident in the drinking arc...
With Cable and Deadpool however, it's much easier because it's probably canon, the whole "Messiah and His Pet" thing was really apparent during the Civil War...though Deadpool rebelled against it. Curiously, though Nate started out understanding that Wade needs to be his own man, and therefore concealed his role in assigning Deadpool jobs, he seem to have totally forgot that during Civil War. To the painful degree of Deadpool pointing out that playing dumb is one thing, but it really stings him when Nate starts to believe (that Deadpool is dumb) as well.
I don't believe that Cable is anything close to Hitler or Stalin, there aren't statues of him around Providence. Selfish madmen like Hitler and Stalin, don't envision their empires to live on without them (not without a lot of statues), whereas Cable does have the complete Jesus Complex, he imagine his sacrifice will be worth it, that the world will live on without him.
...and damn, I just finally caught up to the Civil War arc, and Cable was right about the Big Picture, but he doesn't get the persons. I totally read Domino as staying with him not only because he was right once, but to keep an eye on him. It really says a lot, that when Nate invited Domino to stay with him, he spoke to the group "which one of you feels guilty enough (to stay and amend)"...and his method of 'winning back Deadpool' was planting a guilty conscience on him (hello mindrape!) with the objective of guilting Deadpool into crawling back to him, wow.
Domino showed more respect towards Deadpool in that arc, than Nate, I guess it's mutual sympathy (that dude totally has a type; young, amoral, against all the world but has Faith in /him/ because he'll be the one to redeem them!). ...and how old is Domino anyways? She still looks like a girltoy but she was with him 15 years back, where she looked a bit like a childbride in her costume, ahhhhh!
So I think it's practically implied canon that War!Cable probably kept Deadpool as a pet. He said some lewd stuff about Teresa, but the whole time he was looking at Wade, never leering at Teresa even once.
I have a kink for Evil!Cable (and War!Nate too), so... How could I not loving this one! :D
Plus... Wade is really suited to be a pet! ^__^
